The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit initiative of the Wadhwani Foundation, working to inspire, educate and support the next generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India. NEN's ultimate is to help launch thousands of new entrepreneurs, who in turn will create hundreds of thousands of much-needed valuable jobs for India.

AIAIMS has tied up with NEN since 2006 and igoals privileged to be placed on the Honor Roll of. AIAIMS has tied up with NEN since 2006 and is privileged to be placed on the Honor Roll of NEN for the E- week.
   
 

This year the emphasis was laid on Business Plan. We all worked in groups. We visited small scale entrepreneurs in the nearby areas, interacted with them and by collecting the raw inputs provided them we prepared business plans for almost 10 entrepreneurs to scale up their businesses. Our ideas were appreciated by the entrepreneur. We had Bankers, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers and Venture Capitalists as our panelists.

The E-Week comprised of various workshops such as Legal aspects for starting enterprise, Micro Finance, Team Building, Business Opportunities in new upcoming sectors, Leadership and Counseling. We interacted with few young entrepreneurs about their transition from corporate jobs to starting their own ventures. The E Week was celebrated from 6th February – 13th February 2010.  We organized lot of activities some of them were planting saplings, cleanliness drive at CST, new product development, ad mad shows etc.

AIAIMS E-cell Ankoor organized E Week 2009 which was celebrated from Feb 7 to Feb  14 2009 for students and professionals showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit.

The theme for E Week India 2009 was “Go Green - The world is our business.” Through this theme E Week India is promoting the ecosystem of environmental responsibility through various programs and activities by NEN Member Institute campuses around the country. In this context, Ankoor’s theme this year aims to focus attention on sustainable development, green business opportunities, and innovative solutions to environmental problems.

The celebrations of E - week at the AIAIMS began with the pledging ceremony where the director faculty, staff members and students were present, which was followed by a warm speech by the director.  A video was played of management gurus and entrepreneurs. A skit was played by the students of MMS I year to make the event more lively.

Mr. Kuppuswamy Iyengar, Sr. Vice President of SHCIL was also present for the event. He gave and insight on Financial Markets and role of custodian. Mr. Ravi Kumar from SHCIL also addressed the students on Ideas and Innovation.

Dr. Yusuf Matcheswalla and Dr. Gabhrani addressed the students of the full time and part time on breaking the barriers and to think out of box. Students played box cricket.  Mr. Subramanian a successful entrepreneur shared his experience in starting a new venture.

Mr. Krueger also addressed the students on the various aspects of entrepreneurship and how to unleash their potential and to drive all the energy in creating an environment for a win-win situation.

The activities covered were Debate, Biz quiz, Business Baazigar, Guess ka Dum, Movie screening etc…

The students have planted saplings and also placed dustbins in the campus to keep the green spirit alive.
